Berkeley has been building pumps since the 1930's and has established itself as one of the most durable and reliable line of pumps available. Berkeley offers a wide variety of pumping solutions, but our focus is their line of Type B Centrifugal Pumps. The Type B is offered in 4 different following configurations.


-Motor Drive
Berkeley’s Type B close-coupled end-suction centrifugal pumps are ideal for most applications requiring high performance, easy maintenance and moderate initial cost. Cast iron construction with unique back pull-out design permits access to the impeller without disturbing the piping.

Flows - to 5000 GPM with heads to 635 feet (275 psig).

-Air Cooled Engine Drive
Berkeley’s heavy-duty air cooled engine drive end-suction centrifugal pumps are compact, designed with a minimum number of parts and no extra bearing to lubricate or replace. There is no coupling to maintain or align. Ideally suited for either high-pressure or high flow applications.

Flows to 600 GPM, Heads to 320 feet (140 psig)

-Water Cooled Engine Drive
Berkeley’s dependable water-cooled engine-drive pumps are available as pump ends for mounting engines with SAE standard flywheel housings.

Flows to 6500 GPM, Pressures to 500 feet (215 psig).

-Frame Mounted
Berkeley type B frame-mount pumps are designed for the user who has a separate power source suitable for driving through couplings or with belts. Ideal for all general purpose applications requiring high performance, moderate initial cost and easy maintenance.

Flows to 5500 GPM, Pressures to 500 feet (215 psig).
